Huo Ling (Helen) Ruan

Program Manager

Helen Ruan provides critical support for the development, management, and growth of the Academy through key roles in program operations, program development, and implementation. She collaborates with Academy staff and learners to manage and improve the learner experience, from course development through course delivery, and contributes to the Academy’s ongoing quality improvement work. Prior to joining the Academy, Helen served for 10 years as a health care advocate and legal advocate at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, working with social and legal service providers to help community members secure and maintain healthcare services. She holds a BA in health science in community health education from Hunter College.
