Grief and Loss: Office Hour

OVERVIEW

In this one hour zoom session participants can meet with Nicole and Bevin in a small group. Participants will have an opportunity to:

  1. ask follow-up or lingering questions regarding grief and loss and grief support;
  2. review material from the course as desired; and,
  3. receive consultation on implementing practices at work/in their organizations.

Consultation can be related to issues such as: connecting clients to grief support services, creating or maintaining a grief support group, training staff members in principles of grief support, assessment of the need for enhanced mental health support for the bereaved, and addressing a community loss. This group will not address participants' personal needs for on-going grief support; however, Nicole and Bevin can provide referrals if such needs arise.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This course will include a review of any topics that are requested, consultation on implementing practices, and opportunities for participants to share with each other. Learners can expect large group discussions. We encourage participants to stay on-camera throughout the session.

ELIGIBILITY

This office hour is only open to participants who have successfully completed one or more of the following grief and loss courses at the Academy:
