Microhabits to Support Goal Setting

DESCRIPTION

Every habit is the result of a single, tiny decision. Microhabits are regular practices or routines that are not only small and easy to do, but also the source of incredible power and resilience. This course will describe ways to foster new positive habits or mitigate those ‘not so great’ habits that aren’t serving you. This is an engaging hour and an easy-to-understand guide that can be readily applied to work and daily life and lead to positive change.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participants will:

  • Increase awareness of how small decisions impact goals, moods, and behaviors
  • Recognize how small changes in one’s routine can lead to big changes in wellbeing
  • Learn specific practices and strategies to support positive habits
  • Create a plan to start making small changes in one’s routine

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Presentation of relevant information and research
  • Discussion of the ways small changes in routines can lead to positive habits
  • We invite your ideas about the kinds of positive habits you hope to support this year
  • 20 minutes at the end for questions and discussion
